You can Make a Difference! Earth Day 2025 and Warning Labels 🚀

On this Earth Day we wanted to remind you that you can make a difference.

And how small actions like using Biodecom Tabs can help offset your environmental impact

Did you know that the simple act of pumping gas could soon come with a warning label in Colorado?

The state is considering a bold move — becoming the first in the nation to require fuel stations to display labels that warn consumers about the environmental and health risks of burning fossil fuels. House Bill 25-1277, which narrowly passed the state House in early April, would require retailers to place clear, visible warnings on fuel pumps reminding people that gasoline releases pollutants linked to serious health risks and climate change.

These labels would be printed in both English and Spanish and would be hard to miss — just like the warning labels on cigarette packs, which have been proven to make people pause and think about their choices.

So why does this matter?

Because it highlights something we all need to remember: our individual actions have impact.

Driving a car, throwing out household trash, leaving the lights on — they might feel like small things, but collectively, they add up. And while major companies are under pressure to reduce their carbon footprints, many are also investing in ways to offset their emissions. We should all be thinking the same way: What can I do to reduce or offset my impact?

That’s where Biodecom Tabs come in.

Biodecom Tabs are designed to help everyday people reduce methane emissions from household waste. Just drop one into your trash bag and it starts breaking down organic material faster, helping to minimize the amount of methane — a potent greenhouse gas — released when your trash ends up in a landfill.

It’s a small step, but small steps matter.

Whether it’s choosing public transit a few days a week, turning off the faucet while brushing your teeth, or tossing a Biodecom Tab into your trash — these actions are part of the bigger picture. Climate change isn’t just about global policy or corporate responsibility. It’s also about the choices you make every day.

And if Colorado’s legislation becomes law, maybe next time you’re at the gas pump, you’ll see that reminder too.

Let’s make better choices — for ourselves, for our communities, and for the planet.
